Is the table top smooth or can food get stuck in it?

Food gets stuck it and it’s disgusting. You can’t easily wipe it clean & toothpicks break while trying to clean in there. I use a metal pick to clean my grooves. If I had the option to buy this table again, I wouldn’t.

Measurements
Hello, what is the length and width of the entire set when all chairs are pushed in? From chair and to chair end please. Looking to purchase with a rug that will fit.

With the two arm chairs on the end, and four side chairs pushed in, and no leaves, I measure 61” wide by 110” long. The leaves would add 18” each. The basic table without leaves measures 78” by 40”

GOOD: The table is heavy and sturdy. Chairs are darker in color than what appeared to me. I like that because I have kids. BAD: there's a whitewash that wasn't visible online that I don't like. My table was delivered with damage, the leaves don't store internally. Doesn't seem like real wood. For the price I'm not really happy.
